So after thinking about it, we're not going to have any camping gear. We'll be staying at a hostel in downtown Rotorua with plenty of pubsgeothermal pools/things to do nearby.. It'll be NZ$19 per person, and we'll have 2 rooms of 8, 1 room of 6, and 1 of 3

We�ll leave VU around 4:00 on Friday afternoon and travel to Rotorua, where we�ll be staying at Cactus Jacks both nights

- reservations have been made ONLY for those who are sledging or rafting (25)
- if you're not sledging/rafting, email them and make reservations, or email me and i can do it
- NZ$19 per person per night
- two 8-bed dorms, one 6-bed dorm and one 3-bed dorm
- All linen is supplied on beds. Bring your own towels.
- free beer vouchers

Saturday morning we�ll be sledging with RaftAbout
- http://www.raftabout.co.nz/
- RaftAbout transports us from Cactus Jacks to the river
- sledge on class 3/4 Lower Kaituna, aka Awesome Gorge
- NZ$99 per person (if only sledging)
- wetsuit, booties, etc. all provided. Bring own towel and swimsuit
- you must be �water confident�! (duh)
- on water for about 90 minutes
- choice of also rafting Upper Kaituna and Okere Falls
- BBQ onsite, bbyob

Sunday morning we�ll be rafting with RaftAbout
- RaftAbout transports us from Cactus Jacks to the river
- raft on class 5 Wairoa
- NZ$85 per person (if only rafting)
- NZ$174 per person if sledging and rafting
- only need swimsuit and towel
- on water around 2 hours
- Lunch included

*** no plans yet for getting us from Wellington to Rotorua.. train, bus? Any ideas? Everything I�ve seen is pricy
