The book situation really sucks. First I was told they were being shipped, then that they couldnt ship them, then they WERE going to be shipped. When I got the $100 quote on shipping, I told them I would take my own books. I was already planning on carrying my own Thermo book (own one already), and I didnt want to pay $100 for them to ship TWO paperback books.

I spoke to the people at Engineer's yesterday evening and they never mentioned anything about canceling the shipment for the entire program. The guy I spoke to DID SAY that for $100, he wouldnt be suprised if a lot of students end up taking their own, which in turn might make the remaining shipment more expensive. I wouldn't think there would be any huge problems getting books shipped to your house before the 30th. You might have to pay a little more for faster shipping, but you probably still come up WAY cheaper than $100.
