Sweethearts will have their photo in the program book, crowned at the beginning of the pageant and will escort the contestants on-stage during evening gown.
Sweetheart Participation Fee is $40

Every Contestant will receive a Goody Bag, Contestant Trophy, 2 free tickets to the pageant, one program book and a lifetime of memories!

Pageant begins at 6:30 pm, pre-show at 6:00 pm, Coronation Ball following pageant with Food, Refreshments, Cake, a DJ and dancing! All visiting queens and one chaperone will be admitted for free!

Contestant Meeting - Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 pm at the Statesville Chamber of Commerce, located at 115 East Front Street, Downtown Statesville.

This meeting is for anyone interested in competing in this year's Carolina Dogwood Pageant. If you attended the meeting in January, you do NOT need to attend this meeting. Attendees of the meeting will learn about the Carolina Dogwood Festival, meet the reigning queens and meet the committee. We will go over all areas of competition for the pageant.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2009 North Carolina Watermelon Queen title. The pageant is held each year during the annual convention of the North Carolina Watermelon Association through the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.

The winner will receive a $2000 scholarship, all expense paid trip to compete at the National Watermelon Convention Feb. 2010 in Dallas, Texas, plus paid appearances + mileage throughout the year. This title should be treated like a part time job. This year's NC Watermelon Queen made 30+ appearances, mostly during the summer months.

There is NO ENTRY FEE to compete and your room/meals will be covered while staying at the Mariott (near Crabtree) in Raleigh, NC. This is not a large pageant and the typical number of contestants is 5-7.

Visiting Queens are invited to attend the Carolina Dogwood Pageants -- Anonymous, 05:35:25 04/19/07 Thu [1]
April 28th will be the day the 2007 Carolina Dogwood Queens will be crowned in Statesville. At 12:00pm, we will be holding the Little Miss Pageant which is groups; Little, Young, Junior and Ms.

Then at 7:00pm we will be holding the Teen and Queen Pageant.

All visiting queens will get to introduce themselves on stage after intermission. Queens (with crown on) and one (1) chaperone will get in free to the pageants.

Special Guests: Little Miss North Carolina Queens, Shannon Devine, Mrs. United States, April Storms-Britt, Mrs NC Unites States and the newly crowned Mrs North Carolina America, Kathyrn Sauter.

Pageant will be held at North Iredell High School, I-77 Exit 59, just north of Statesville.

Flowers Pageant Productions announce plans for the 2007 Lake Norman US Miss Pageant. The Pageant will be held at the beautiful Charles Mack Citizen Center in downtown Mooresville, NC. Registration will began at 1:00pm and the pageant will start at 2:15pm. The Lake Norman US Miss Pageant is a preliminary to the Southern US Miss Pageant where winners will have the opportunity to compete for hundreds of dollars worth of prizes and gifts and advance to our Televised National competition in Las Vegas! Lake Norman US Miss will be an ambassador for the Tar-Heel state and will be involved in several exciting events throughout the year. N-e-body ever notice that the girls doing the pageants are ugly and nasty looking in "real life?" Their parents spend all this money on them and hours on them to get "the barn painted" and the fake hair in; but if you saw them outside of the pageant, then you wouldn't recognize them. They look horendous! Why wouldn't a parent take pride in always having their daughter look their best (unless they just weren't truly beautiful, and it were all fake and the work of a good makeup artist). And usually the mommas are fat and trashy looking...like they have to prove something they don't have through their daughters. Think about it.

NC Angel of Hope pageant is seeking contestants all ages!
4 majestic titles

This state pageant was designed for girls who want to be active in their communities.

There will be many activities for the girls to participate in throughout the year. We understand that not every event can be made but we encourage the girls to start their own drives, raise money's and volunteer whenever possible.

You can also enter our free photo contest at http://littlemissangelofhope.piczo.com to win fees off.

If you turn in at least half the fees by Jan 1st you may take an additional $25 off!!

*Driving Directions To Gaston Day School
From Charlotte follow I-85 South to Exit 21 (Cox Rd).
At the top of the Ramp turn LEFT onto Cox Rd.

(From South Carolina Take I-85 North to Exit 21 Cox Rd.
and make a RIGHT onto Cox Rd.)

(NO TURNS UNTIL YOU REACH THE SCHOOL) road names will change

Go 0.4 miles.. The road will turn into Armstrong Park Rd.
Stay straight 1.8 miles. Road will then turn into Gaston Day School Rd.

Stay straight 2.4 miles. The road will come to a circle Yield (with a Yield sign.) Make sure you go to the road straight across. Gaston Day School will be on your Left. Use third entrance for Parking. (Handicapped parking is located in the front of the School.)

I have noticed a lot of bashing on the other Miss North Carolina Board. What is the deal with bashing who ever's name is mentioned?

Folks, don't act very professional or polished, so it must be a bunch of rednecks!

Pageantry should be a time honored tradition of tradition, honor and pride. With the essence of the program, honor should enter into the voyboards. All these young ladies put forth their best effort and of course all young ladies would like to win. Pagentry should encourage a sisterhood steeped in pride and honor. Honor and respect should take forthright first place among contestants, family, friends and community, as well as the public. Pageants have received considerable blows over the years, and taken more beatings than can be imagined. This program is suppose to take distinguished young ladies, and help to continue to polish them in to an everlasing and forever shining diamond; which with time and age will contribute to the development of future society as productive members and tomorrow's future. Competiton should be about respecting each individual for their individuality and differences. Society in general forgets that these young women are not in competition with one another, but with themselves. Whenever each young lady steps onto stage, the judges do not judge the young lady in comparision to the previous young lady. There is not a comparision made. The judgement is made on what that young lady at that particular moment. Judging is based on what the young lady presents on stage, or what the young lady brings to the table with them during interview. It is how the young lady projects herself on stage, and as with anything, judging is the opinion of each individual judge. It is irresponsible, as well as unbecoming to throw negative comments toward any contestant. Individuals that are unsure of themselves, as well as their mental and physical self esteem tend to make unsavorary comments to make up for their own short-comings. It tends to give that individual a sense of power and self-worth for a short lived point of time, which eventually wears off and the same self-esteem issue once again arises. The Miss America program should be supported as should all the young women that participate. Individuals that can not support the programs and directors need to cease from creating negativity. Negativitiy only breeds mental corruption, which results in mud slinging and the deterioration of a system that is a time honored tradition of pride and honor. "It is an American as apple pie, and baseball." To attack the young women in this system, that is any young woman , is an attack on American valaues. When an individual puts a young woman down, and makes comments about their abilities, physical appearance, and intellect, they are attacking the basic foundation of American pride, tradition and honor. In addition, they must feel that they themselves have been left to judge, and issue hurts, whereas, I believe the final judgement is made by a higher power. As individuals and members of society, we should empower these young women with confidence, and not attack and drag them down as a result of individual short comings, jealously, hatred or prejudice. Negativism in these forms should be banished from society, in order to help mold young women that will be more than adequate members of society. We must empower these young ladies to be leaders for the future and emmpower them with the tools of fair play and all athe wholeness that makes our nation great! Constructive critricism is define as criticicims that will help individuals improve upon a particular area, which is something that is readily accepted; whereas just negative comments is meant to prick, hurt and chip away at an indivulal's self esteeem. Simply, how would you like to be treated? How do you want your friend, daughter, niece, granddaughter, friend, or your mother treated? Normally, the answer would be with honor and respect. Yes, when individuals say hurtful things, others react in self defense! It is only natural! So, if these hurtful things are not said, then it will give more character to not only the system, but tho those that compete. The system in North Carolina needs to be built up and not torn down. Build the system back to it's past glory, but if not, it will eventually cease to exist. It will only exist on the pages of a few magazines, or a blurb in an encyclopedia, as a footnote in history, that North Carolina once had a pageant system that was part of the Miss America System, way back when . . . . . . . .

Note: Hopefully, this is error free. If there are errors, I do hereby apologize. My focus was entirely on amessage of utmost impoortance to the success of the Miss NOrth Carolina Preliminary System and the fute of the MIss America System. May God Bless each and every individual and
