Subject: Maybe it was a mother's instinct - not that she was this child's mother, but the instinct of a woman who has been a mother, but she was awake.. she had woken up the last couple of months whenever the baby did, but had usually been able to drift back off because Gabe managed things. Tonight, however, she'd been laying awake for a while now, and finally, she crawled out of bed, her blonde hair mussed and hung loose down around her shoulders, a pair of boy cut shorts and a baggy tshirt covering her wiry frame, she crept to the door, listening, and then down the hallway to his room, pausing for a moment at the closed door and finally knocking softly, hesitantly, before cracking it a bit. "Gabe?"
In reply to: Gabe 's message, "
All the sudden life is thrown back in my face
No matter where I go, how long I wander
I still feel so out of place

  • He looked past him, tipping his head to the side as he let out a soft breath. As much as he hated to admit that he couldn't handle his daughter, he was happy to see her. "Hey..sorry if she woke you..." He murmured softly, tipping his head to the side as he watched her open the door, waving her in. "Come in and close the door so that we don't wake up the kids..." He smiled softly, bouncing the baby still even as he took in her appearance. He had always loved her when she was all in bed and ready to sleep... (NT) -- Gabe, 11:21:23 03/27/05 Sun
