He frowned heavily, shaking his head as he let out a soft breath. "What did I ever do that made you have so little faith in me?" He questioned softly, his brow furrowed. "I have been there for you every step of the way and I was never, ever the one to walk away from you." She was the one who had left him, who had run away to be with the waves instead of in his arms with their child where she had belonged.
