She scowled in return - approaching and standing just in front of him - she wasn't intimidated - hell, she'd learned enough about confrontations in her marriage. "So we can't just be friends.. I have to be like a stranger? You want to be with me and that's all you want, so it's all or nothing? I guess I liked to believe that when we were together we were best friends as well as lovers." She couldn't help but let a bit of hurt twinge her voice, which was remaining as low as she concievably could keep it while still getting her emotion across. So maybe it wasn't like that, but if she made it out like that was the problem, she wouldn't have to feel so damn guilty about the little kisses, the teasing him at Christmas..
