Teen pageant seeks representatives

The Little Miss -- Teen Miss South Carolina state pageant is seeking representatives from all South Carolina counties that do not host a local preliminary. The goal is to see all 46 of South Carolina's counties represented at the state pageant in June.

Little Miss -- Teen Miss South Carolina was established in Sumter in 1971 by the late Linda Floyd. The pageant promotes academic excellence and community service, as well as providing contestants a chance to display their beauty, poise and talent on stage. Contestants ages 5 and up meet with the judges for a personal interview. More than $30,000 in scholarships will be awarded at the state pageant in June.
