For those guys looking at cheap train options to Belgrade here is a suggestion. Take the train from Warsaw to Budapest (suggest taking the Thursday night overnighter that arrives early Friday morning in Budapest). Overnight round trip costs about PLN 400. Then pick up a rental car in Budapest and follow me for a 4.5 hour drive down to Belgrade. Check out this link for rental car prices. The smallest 'van' like car is the Suzuki Wagon R+ at the top that would fit three guys maximum with equipment. Would be tight but is do-able. Let me know what you decide and if you need some help organising shit at this end.
