I have an 87 fox body coupe with a 400 sbc. The car runs 10.60's ( 9.80's on nitrous) with a small cam and patriot block hugger headers. It has all the stock suspension and steering up front, I live in the East Tx area and have a friend with a smilar set up and one with a 496 in a hatchback.

I used Hooker Super Comp for Chevy II chassis exit. The part number is in a paragraph down below. Congrats, that's some good times on your setup. Would be happy to post up a pic if you like. Email me at sbcinamustang@yahoo.com

Thanks for hosting the pic for me, and thanks for the info on the headers and creating the web site. The track at Lufkin is an awesome track. I also have to plug a friend, Robert Lane ( Fast Lane Nitrous ) who built my nitrous system, he does custom set up's and is a local guy. He has given me tons of advice and help.

I am going to get a K member now and order some of those headers.

Would like to update things, put in a good k member and have pulled a little weight, the car now runs 10.15 at 131mph with a 1.42 60' all motor.

I will work on trying to get some pictures for you guys. We race at Cherokee County MotorSpots Park In Rusk Tx. It has run some 10.20's there bracket racing and some 10.teens at Ennis and RR, 10.17 at 131mph is the fastests all motor, with a 1.43 60' the car is right around 2800 pounds and we have not done any major gutting of it. We have not used the spray in a long time, but with stock suspension on the car we were running 10.70's at 126 and with some timming issues went 9.80 at 136, that was over a year ago. Our car picks up a solid 4 tenths on a 100 shot. 1/8th mile is in the 6.40 range on motor.

Hey! What oil pan did you use? Could you use a stock chevy small block oil pan? You used headers for a 67 and older Chevy Nova? Is there a motor mount/tranny mount kit out there for the job?

I have a 91 notchback with a 2.3 that I wish to put a chevy small block in and can not seem to find any information on doing it. I would greatly appreciate all of the help that I can get. Please email me at johnyreb47@yahoo.com if you can be of any assistance.

Thanks,
John
Thanks.

Are you the person that posted on HRG? I was about to reply to your post. Sorry I haven't had time to continue the install stuff with the holidays. I'll see what I can get done this morning.
