食環署外判商惠康清潔滅蟲公司被控歧視職工會及沒有給予休息日罪成，共判罰款23.4萬元。

九龍城裁判法院裁判官練錦雄判刑時表示，本港保障勞工的法例落後於其他已發展國家，法庭不能容忍僱主以剋扣福利方式，阻止員工加入工會，必須判以阻嚇性刑罰。

上市公司新創建集團轄下的惠康清潔滅蟲有限公司被勞工處發出票控歧視職工會及沒有給予休息日，3名清潔工人稱去年10月參加清潔服務業職工會後，公司要求他們簽自願離職信，其後當他們陪同其他工友入稟勞工處向公司追討欠薪及假期後，翌日便遭公司辭退。

職工會發言人透露，自去年12月至今年4月為止，已有逾300名工人透過勞工處，向惠康清潔成功追討逾500萬元欠薪、休息日加班工資及遣散費等。
