Subject: Tying the frenulum - leaves excess skin?

Anyone who has done the tying up method, did it leave a flap of excess skin where the frenulum used to be attached? I was about to do this method but as I looked as to where I would put the stitch it occured to me that just cutting the frenulum in half would leave the top half 'hanging' loose.

Also, I worry that after the frenulum is separated it will be weaker and more likely to tear at the new point of attachment. It seems Harmen had to stitch it twice to completely remove the frenulum. I don't want to go that far, just get a couple cm's of relief.
