Hi J and any others out there.
Thanks to all who contributed to the thread. It gave me the confidance to go for it and I too can report a success from the self tieing method.
I put a single suture in a week ago which pulled through after 4 days and I now have a frenulum that is 15 mm longer and now free enough to fully retract when I am erect.
A few bits of info that I picked up on the web and used.
Buy a commercial dissinfectant and antisecpic cream and be meticulous in all aspects of hygene. Remember what part of your anatomy you are dealing with here!
Buy a tube of EMLA cream from a pharmacy. It is a local anaesthetic cream made for minor skin surjury. Half the instruction leaflet is about genital use. Ten minutes after application and there is no feeling at all when you put in the stitch and draw it tight.
Buy sutures that are sterile, they sell them in the pharmacy, a 4-0 non dissolving, 0.5 mtr long suture already bonded to a 3/8 regular curved needle does the job. Buy a braided suture if you can as they are easier to tie tight, but a monofilm nylon is ok.
Look up a web sight on how to tie a surgeons square knot. The suture needs to be TIGHT and stay tight, add a couple of back up hitches to the surgeons knot to be sure. Practice the knot first. Its not a good time to be learning your boy scout skills!
Push the needle through the frenulum membrane close to the shaft and close to the glans, at the point of the triangle, have a good look first and you will see the frenular artery. Try not to stick the needle through the artery as this will increase the bleeding.
Bring the ends of the thread up over the frenulum tie your first throw of the surgeons hitch and then pull tight. The idea is to strangle all the tissue and cut all circulation under the knot. Complete the knot with the reverse throw and a couple of back up hitches.
Cut off the spare thread but leave 20 mm on both ends. cover the whole sight in antiseptic cream.
Give it a day to settle down and then its all about washing and softening the frenullum skin. Soaking the whole penis head in warm water [ stick it in a cup of warm water] for 15 minutes a few times speeds up the process as does a bit of E45 skin cream applied to the frenulum. After a day or so a bit of pulling and moving of the thread also helped, the loop will pull upwards and eventually cut up through all the tissue until it actually falls off still tied in a loop.
Magic! you now have a frenulum that is lengthened by twice the depth that you inserted the stitch! A bit of cream to prevent scar tissue and you should have a big smile on your face.
Bob
