Greetings to all Canadian Librarians already working in the USA and also to all those who want to explore the possibility of working south of the 49th. Please post and share information and experiences, ask questions and, as the spirit moves you, reach out to fellow librarians.

This is a beta forum; the cosmetics may change as I improve my grip on Cascading Style Sheets. For the time being, at least, posts will be unmoderated, no login or registration is necessary, and you may, if you wish, post anonymously. However, all posts will be archived (we lost a lot of good posts when the previous CanLib bulletin board suddenly went down!)

Please do contact me with any suggestions you might have about this forum or about the parent website at http://library2.csudh.edu/cdales/canlib/; I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

E. Carol Dales

Hello everyone.

I am a Canadian librarian who is just about on my way to Boston. I start a job as Manager of Collections at the Countway Library of Medicine at Harvard Medical School on February 22, and will be heading across the border on February 17, I hope. If there are any other Canadian librarians in Boston out there (I saw the Boston Public Library was on the list of Canadian-friendly libraries), if they'd like to email me off the list, I'd love to hear from you!

Morning,
I am a Canadian, however I am not a librarian. I have worked in the oil and gas industry as a Records and Information Analyst/ Coordinator for more than 15 years.
Do you know of any suitable companies...or postings that could use my skill set
Thanks
