Subject: The mood in the newsroom

Is there anyone out there in the TL newsroom willing to write here about what you've been told about what happened? About the mood in the newsroom -- how is this editor acting, how is that editor acting? Do any of the top people seem to be turning into the de facto editor? Does Iseman act differently, given that his style was so similar to Allison's, and for whatever reason she's out the door? How is it affecting the daily product? Is there any leadership? It always stuck me as such a top-down place, and so many veterans have been beat down by years of bullying, I've wondered how they would handle a new regime.

Most importantly, how have the top editors and managers reconciled the newspaper's role as muckraker and truthteller with their reticence, both in print and in the newsroom, about this matter?

As a former employee there, I'm just curious. Looking for a thoghtful inside take, not bitching or gossip.
