Are you shitting me? The best you can do is that the Times Leader is "still better than most in the state?" I guess, sure, compared to the Hazleton paper, or maybe the Johnstown paper. Shouldn't a newspaper aspire more than to be better than the Stroudsburg Record?

And those Sunday stories? They were terrible. The Harrisburg story was the top 1A story, based completely on the anonymous opinions of eleven (11) Harrisburg 'political insiders' (read: other statehouse reporters) who filled out an anonymous survey. It was a dressed-up version of Sayso.

And the Metz story? I assume his ad rep got the story published. The crux of the story was 'rich local man who owns Holiday Inn, TGI Friday's and Krispy Kreme to invest in upstart fast-food chain that is still in planning stages and will not have an outlet here for a long time, if ever.' Who cares?
