Subject: Raven Update 8/16/13

I'm sorry that I have not updated you guys, but John and I are both so upset over recent events, that neither one of us can even think clearly right now. I feel incredibly betrayed and very much alone (medically speaking). After the way we were treated by the female oncologist who took over for my long time Oncologist on Wednesday, we could never go back there ever again (only a schmuck would go back after what we encountered). We MUST NOW find a new Oncologist and a new hospital, and God only knows how well we will be treated there, once we have the records sent over to that someone new, as I am sure we have been blacklisted at this point (we made the mistake of speaking up about some of the craziness we have had to deal with, as so many of you recommended, and that is a no no out here in rural America). We dared to stand up for ourselves, and now things are even worse. We have nobody anymore. Can't fight this type of cancer alone. The last thing a cancer patient needs is politics within a hospital. We are exhausted. I have lost a lot of hope and faith in people. I can ever trust anyone ever again (not after this). Not sure I will recover from this one.......

I'm a firm believer of "one door closes and another one opens" and that usually goes hand in hand with "God works in strange ways". A change of hospital/doctor may be in your favor!

I can't believe the total BS you are running into Raven. Doctors are suppose to try everything in their power to help the patient. Its bad enough you have aggressive cancer and all the symptoms you get from getting the treatments, the least thing you should run into are lousy doctors. If I were you, just check out any and all cancer treatment centers across the US. I'm amazed how you've survived this long with your cancer, but with all of our prayers for you, thats whats keeping you alive today. Don't let these doctors tell you any nonsense. Remember your the customer and the one paying for his/her bills.

Hang in there.. My prayers continue for your miracle. I really hope you find a new doctor that will work with you and not against you. I hate the doctors that say, given the kind of cancer you have, there's no point to doing any treatments. They should do everything in their power to keep you alive.
