Subject: Ravenbeauty post - Ready for tomorrow

God bless you guys so much for all of this. You are the kindest and most amazing support system a girl could ever hope for. You have no idea how much this means to me. I'm a little shaky right now, but I know it's to be expected. My appointment is at 2PM tomorrow. They have me meeting with my Oncologist first, and then I go to another floor for the infusion. I have no idea how i will react to these chemo's tomorrow, but John said he is going to keep me preoccupied by telling me stories of our adorable Lily while holding my hand. I remember my breast surgeon telling me to find one special thing to think about when I feel overwhelmed or scared and that's my adorable, precious, tiny cat Lily. John tells me about the little things that she did that day, which I may have missed, and they make me laugh and get my mind off of what's happening. For some reason she loves to attack his feet and plots these attacks constantly (those stories always make me laugh).

I got a Juicy Couture tote for my birthday that's going to come in handy now as it will be our Thursday Chemo bag each week. I think we are pretty much covered for tomorrow. Found a perfect tupperware bowl with a tight lid in case I get sick in the car along with these medical bags for the same purpose. Packing extra bottles of water, lots of Purell packets, Cottonelle Wipes, Gauze, alcohol wipes, tape, Puffs, masks, medications (made sure that I put Phenergan in there), my Kindle, Emla cream to numb the area over the port (we have a long drive so it would wear off by the time we got there if I didn't do it in the car). I will have some saran wrap ready with some tape to keep it down and saturated. The sterio strips came off today without incident so now it's all bare. I see the incision, but it is very small, however there is a knot in my neck where they went through the jugular vein (hoping that's normal). I'm taking my make up bag too, but that's only because I am obsessed with make up to the point where I cannot leave the house without at least some foundation and powder! I know it's crazy, but I just wouldn't be me otherwise.

I will keep you posted as often as I can. John knows to call Flo if I cannot touch base to let you guys know what is happening for any reason. You are my family in so many ways. I've lost so much of my family to cancer, so having you is like one big extended family. Thank you for taking the time to leave me these beautiful notes of inspiration and such beautiful pictures. As ready as I will ever be. Tomorrow my life will change forever, but my hope is that it's what I need to beat this monster into the ground. Praying harder than I have ever prayed in my life. Thank you for all the encouragement for tomorrow. I love you guys with all my heart and soul (genuinely). Thank you for your unconditional love and support. Happy 2013! XOXOXOXO!
