Subject: Fractured Wrist (John just Posted) 3/24/13

Hi everybody, this is John writing for Raven. We've been dealt some big blows this past week. The one we never saw coming is that Raven would end up with a very painful fractured wrist. When Raven is better, she'll be back to give you all a more complete update. She fell backwards trying to fill Lilly's water bowl and stopped her fall with her wrist. We were in the emergency room on Saturday morning, where they put on a splint. She's been running fevers so I'm a bit worried - it may be part of the healing process, but I'm taking her back to the hospital tonight if she doesn't start to feel better. She says the pain is excruciating.

I won't be checking back in here a whole lot because I'm watching over her. Please don't be worried if you don't see her in here much over the next several days. She fractured the wrist on the arm she writes with, so she's having some trouble doing even some of the simplest things. I'll be taking off tomorrow to be with her. She just wanted me to let her know what was going on, and she sends her love.

Dear John,

I hope Raven's fever has faded, and that she is able to rest comfortably now. I will add an extra daily prayer for her - that her wrist heals quickly.

(((Dearest Ravenbeauty, love you!)))

Hannah

Dear Raven,
Try calling your oncologist later in the evening at the number on that letter he sent you or the numbers you had for him (call after office hours) and usually there is an answering service that will pick up for the doctor and leave them your emergency message with them for your oncologist to contact you. Also, try getting in touch with the (AMA) American Medical Association for Doctors either on the internet or by phone. On this site there is an ethics page click on frequently asked questions. At the end of all the questions and answers it says need more help you can click on that and it gives you a telephone number for you to call for further help. Almost every doctor belongs to this Association. I hope this can help you.
