Update on things..................

Hey Guys,

I have a meeting with a few doctors next Thursday (I'm guessing this is when they will want to talk me into chemo and discuss surgically removing those nodes they didn't take). I have made a decision that is right for me, and I am sticking by it. I'm going to just pray that they got it all via surgery, and try to somehow just go on with my life the best way I can. As soon as I feel a little better and get the stitches and tubes removed, I am returning to my column (and to my life). It's going to be a slow recovery, and I am nowhere near done just yet, but when it's over, I'm moving on. Thank you all so much for your many wonderful suggestions about alternative medicine. I will be incorporating all kinds of things into my life to do things the natural way. If I am wrong and it has spread everywhere (will repeat the PET scan in a few months although now I don't have a lot of faith in it), then so be it.

Going home isn't the worst thing that a person can go through. Knowing that there is so much love waiting for me on the other side is something that gives me peace when I get scared. I have a beautiful mother just waiting to give me a hug. So whether I stay here or go, I can't lose. You guys have shown me so much love and support that checking in here has been like walking on a soft, pillowy, cloud full of love. You have helped to make this more bearable for me in so many ways. I will never forget the things you have said out here. What a beautiful outpouring you have given me. My eyes were filled with tears reading Cat's tweets from last week just now. What a beautiful soul you are. No wonder you are loved by so many. All of you left me notes that will never be forgotten ever. Thank you for being so selfless and taking your valuable time to bring me a smile out here throughout this crazy mess. Once I am healed a little more, I intend to return to giving you all the latest dish as always (I'm not letting cancer take that away from me). It was a rude intruder in my life, and I will be damned if it's going to take me down. ♥♥♥

as a cancer survivor I have but one piece of advice .. get angry cancer intruded on your life and stay angry at it .. I swear its what got me through my own surgery .. and every follow up scan, test, doctor's appt after surgery.
