Lets see if I can put the pieces to this puzzle together.. From the analogy this is what I believe is going on here...

The best way I can try to explain it is through an analogy. Let's say a guy has a girlfriend that he wants to drop (ABC dropping AMC ,OLTL AGNES NIXON). He tells her that it's over, but then changes his mind and says he thinks that they can work it out after all. Months go by and he realizes he just doesn't want her anymore. He can't make it work. Then a couple of guys (PROSPECT PARK) step forward to tell him how crazy he is for letting her go. So much so that now they are interested in her. Her heart still belongs to the guy who dumped her (ABC OWNS AMC & OLTL), but the new guys that are now interested in her, want her for the right reasons (not because it's just a game of winning for them now). They are not playing quienes mas macho. They truly want her. Now suddenly the guy who wasn't interested in her MUST have her (ABC DUE TO THE HORRIBLE RATINGS FOR THE REVOLUTION). He will do more to keep her because it's all about winning and saving face now. (ITS ABOUT SAVING ABC DAYTIME) The bottom line is that someone will get her now because there is just too much fighting (ABC and PROSPECT PARK ) over her for her to end up all alone as she was going to be. That's as close as you are going to get to the real truth of the matter....
