Subject: Just keeping you in the loop as always.......

Hey Gang,

It's been a very intense past few days. I met with the Oncologist this past Thursday (breast surgeons and Oncologists tell you two completely different things). Still trying to digest everything I was told (not exactly what I needed to hear). Am I going to let it take me down, no. Did it scare me, yes. We had a very long talk about the fact that my body seems to want to produce triple negative tumors (second time now that we've been down this road). They went in thinking we had Angiosarcoma in both breasts, and found what my Oncologist called a "killer" in my right breast hiding dead center as well (IDC). My Oncologist was pretty clear with me about things. It's not "will it come back" but when. They feel my strongest chance are the new PARP Inhibitors that are currently undergoing clinical trials. My Oncologist seems to feel that one may be available within the next 6 months or so as the FDA is just about to approve one. It is made for people like me who have Estrogen Receptor Negative breast tumors. They don't like how young I am. In their world, it's a bad thing to have cancer come back again given my age. I've been really angry, scared, and a million other things over the past few days, but I keep arriving at the same emotion. I'm going to enjoy what I have left here on this earth and not allow this situation to take me down. For now, they want me doctor free for a few months.

Barring any complications from my recovery, I plan to take that advice because I need a break from tests and bad news. The fact that the PET scan did not even pick up this second form in my right breast concerns us all, and so they want the test repeated in a few months. For now, I need a serious break. I just need to heal. The tubes are out (I insisted). The stitches are out. Now it's all about healing and getting back to the things I love to do. It's going to take some time, but I wanted to let you know how much you guys truly mean to me. You have been like a soft cloud cushioning me from a much harder fall. I will continue to keep you in the loop, and hopefully soon, I will have a column out for you as well (my friends are still whispering things in my ear). Lots to tell you once I feel a little better. Thank you for more than you could ever know. I love you! ♥♥♥

I decree and declare healing in the mighty of name of Jesus! I do not believe the report of the doctor but the report of the Lord! I speak healing right now and you shall never suffer bodily pain and ailing ever again in your life and you shall live out the time God has laid out for you, not based upon what the doctor said! In Jesus name, Amen.

Raven you are always in my prayers, i left my email, if you need even a slight boost or any prayer whatsoever you now officially have a prayer partner, contact me whenever you want to.

Stay faithful! :)

I admire your strength and your ability to look cancer in the eye and not let it take away your spirit. You are a remarkable woman and my thoughts and prayers go out to you as your fight the good fight against this mean and ugly disease.

taking a break from doctors and tests to regroup is a great plan. Do something you enjoy. Shopping therapy is always good, even if you can only do it online. Buy yourself something frivolous. You're always in my thoughts and receiving my positive thoughts. Love you!

Raven, my cousin had breast cancer twice before age 35. She's now 46 (as I enjoy reminding her). So don't worry about age or anything else. We do not believe every "bad" report. Sending up prayers now.
