Bradford Anderson (Spinelli)........
Hey Guys,
After going back and forth with Bradford Anderson last night, I went to sleep with a heavy heart. Not only is this man as talented as they come, but he has a heart of gold. He really is a class act. A very loving and gentle man (very much like the character he plays on General Hospital). As most of us have learned the hard way, ABC will lie until the 11th hour and not even think twice about it. Their cruelty knows no bounds. They made Susan Lucci look ridiculous as she toured the country laughing off the rumors of the cancellations (only to have them announced three weeks later). They actually held meetings to tell the cast and crew how foolish these rumor were only to break the actor’s hearts less than a month later. Lying comes very easy for them. In that vein, I pray that what I have heard about Spinelli being written out is baseless. I want to be wrong (more than you will ever know). As you know, I told fans to expect an announcement around February or March (of course, timelines are very shaky with all of this going on right now). This gives us Christmas elves a little time to work some magic, and let our voices be heard. I know we are fighting a much bigger battle right now to keep our soaps alive, but I think we can take an additional moment or two to see that Spinelli stays put despite the standard denials we might hear to the contrary from ABC. I have written my own letter below (and have included the contact information you will need):
To Whom It May Concern,
I’ve been a General Hospital viewer since I was a child. In all of those years, a myriad of characters have come and gone. Never have I seen anyone quite like Damien Spinelli. You would not have been as successful with this unusual character had it not been for Bradford Anderson. You struck gold when you found this actor. Spinelli is loveable, adorable, hysterical, believable, and one of my favorites, and that’s based solely on what Bradford Anderson brings to the role.
Spinelli has chemistry with everyone (not an easy task). This odd yet believable relationship between Spinelli and Jason Morgan is one of General Hospital’s most beloved treasures. It’s organic and natural. It doesn’t need the writing. It’s just there, and it makes us smile. He is the comic relief that General Hospital so desperately needed for many years. You laugh with him, cry with him, and more than anything you want to protect him because he is such a gentle and delicate soul.
Realizing that General Hospital is on it’s way out, please don’t break our hearts any further by taking this wondrous character away from us. Please rethink your strategy and allow us to have Spinelli until the bitter end. There was a type of magic that existed between Spinelli and Maxie that made us root for them in a way we have never done before. They evolved naturally. They were adorable and genuine. Spinelli is too tightly woven into the fabric of the show for you to cut him out now. Please know that we love this actor and what he has given us in the form of Spinelli. You have taken so much away from us this year with the loss of All My Children and One Life To Live, please don’t take Spinelli away from us too. If the rumors are true and you plan to write him out, please reconsider as you have the power to do so. The ball is in your court. Thank you for hearing me out…
P.S. As to who that major player is that's due to walk (I spelled it out for you already on the radio during Silas Kain's broadcast Thanksgiving eve)! A week ago!
On a personal footnote, writing this column over the past ten years has not always been easy. People read it because they want a heads up. Because they want to know what is being discussed behind the scenes, and yet I have been shot to death again and again as the messenger. Not one of us would ever tell you that our information is always correct (that would be ludicrous). As I have stated a thousand times throughout the years (and on the radio) it's OK to be wrong. As long as you are being honest, and merely passing on what you are hearing, you are doing your job (a job I have never been paid for). One that I do because of my love for this genre, and to help keep that heartbeat going. When the gossip ceases and people stop talking about you, then you have reason to worry. Right now we are still alive. This genre still has a heartbeat. I do this because of my love of writing and my love for you. The love and support that you have shown me throughout my ordeal with cancer over the past couple of months has been nothing short of incredible. You make me smile when it's the last thing I feel like doing. You give me hope when I feel hopeless. I realize now that despite the group of naysayers out there that will forever haunt me and wish to spill my blood, I have been given a much greater gift through all of you. Thank you for your incredible love and support over the years. I had a few hours before I go in for my procedure today, so wanted to get this to you as soon as I possibly could. I love you guys (and I always will). XOXO!
Gossip Column Disclaimer That Will Appear In Each Column!
This disclaimer will appear each week. Please keep in mind that these are rumors, and any gossip or rumors found within, are completely unsubstantiated. Most of what I hear are very early rumblings, but I will keep nothing from you either way.

I never want to see an actor lose their job, but in the case of Bradford, I think it's time for him to go. When he started out he was unique, quirky and fun. TPTB, however, could not possibley let that continue and they have turned him into a horribly boring character that I fast-forward through whenever he is on. I think Bradford has a much better future away from GH and if he does leave, I wish him all the best. I look forward to seeing him on a show that appreciates his talents.

I have enjoyed your scoops for years, I am currently parked in front of my TV watching Prime News on HLN w/ Vinnie Politan (12-2-2011, 3:20pm PST) there is a short story about a man (marathon runner Don Wright) who 8 years ago was diagnosed with a rare cancer of his blood, patients are rarely cured. Three years ago he was put on an experimental drug, one pill taken once per day, it doesn't cure his cancer but apparently keeps it at bay. His message is to "take charge of your own destiny and never give up hope". I know different med.'s are for different issues but I frequent your column here at Voy and think of you often. I am praying for you and "rooting for you" and I wanted to pass along what I saw. They did not give the name of the drug but I gave you all the information I could about the story so that hopefully you can find out what it is if you are interested.

Raven's page is lit up like a Christmas tree! Never seen so much activity on Facebook in my life! It's pretty dead over here because everyone is over there! You should probably friend her soon because she's almost at the Facebook limit of 5000! We've been talking about Frons from the moment the news broke. Raven has dropped a lot of scoops over at Facebook over the past week. I don't see her updating as much over here at all.

I tried to friend her but the request was rejected. (I suppose the fact that I use an assumed identity for privacy reasons on FB made Raven suspicious, which I completely understand.) I'll stick to this board. I love it!

I don't do Facebook for privacy reasons as well. Raven's updates may not be as frequent as on Facebook but that ok. Love u Raven! Can't wait for your Holiday Celebration with Silas on the 15th!

I have a story to tell you that I was very hesitant to post here only because it is about someone elses health. I am not on Facebook but i am going to try after the holidays. I was at my doctor for blood work. The women doing it is about late 30's 2 children, has been there awhile so I know her. I asked how she was. I know she is a breast cancer surviver. {she talks a lot and very fast but is delightful} She said she is annoyed because she has this thing on the sides of her breast, an infection or a rash or an irratation of some sort, she went on to say that she had also been forced to change insurance and none of her old Dr's are now in plan. Raven I swear to God my heart stopped, all I could think of was you. I managed to ask her how her cancer was treated. guess what, same as you. Removal of tumor and radiation. It was 2 days before Thanksgiving and I had no idea what to do. I couldn't remember how to pronounce the name of the cancer, but I remembered what you said to look for very well. I ran out of there very quickly. I sat in my car shaking and trying to think of what the heck to do. I kept remembering how aggressive it is and having to go to new doctors is scary to begin with and I didn't know if she would take info from me with any seriousness {or if her new doctor would.} I drove home and looked up you old columns to find the one where you explained everything in, couln't find it, but did find the name and some of your descriptions. I printed and wrote down everything I could find that you had said. Back on the road to the office. They were very surprised that I was back and I had ran out in the first place. Then I really shocked them when I said I had to see the Dr ASAP. My Dr. is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever met.{no exageration} He lost his mother to breast cancer when he was young. He has been my dr. for 15 years and has seen me through every bad thing in my life medical or not. His compassion always astounds me and his kindness has never waiverd, ever! When I got him I told him everything that she had said to me and then i showed him your words and the cancer you have. I wish i could desribe his face but I cant!! He asked me ?'s about her words and symptoms. He then grabbed me and hugged me. He started to tell me how great I was, but I told him no, this women who wrote about it to us is the only reason any of this reasonated with me. If it wasn't for her(you) I would have just wished her well and not have thougt about it. He thanked me and said he would take care of everything. I trust him just as much as I trust my wonderful husband. He called the next Tuesday and told me that he had examined her and was freighten also. He got her an appointment with an specialist and a surgeon at Sloan-Kettering. Her insurance dosen't matter because he called in favors and professional curtesies. He wanted to know all about you. It is strange trying to explain to someone else how we know and love you but have never met. He made me promise to tell you a huge thank you from him and from the medical world every where. He said you are a women of great stenght and so courageous. He said it takes a very special person to write about this battle you are fighting. He said you have the kind of caring the world needs to fight these cancers and to educate women every where. He said you are a true hero!!! He sincerly hopes that you are getting the best care possible and to keep on inspiring others. He said it is people like you who beat this thing. He will as well pray for you. Raven you ROCK!!! You have problebly saved a life!! How many of us can say that. I don't know how to thank you. You are a hero and I am very glad that you are in my life(cyber-life) Please stay positive and fight this battle, we need you in this world. I pray for you all the time and will continue to.
PS Please feel free to post or not. To edit or cut down to a reasonable size, what ever you want to do. I know I rambled, but I wanted you to know every detail and how it all happened because if not for you none of this would have happened.

And I think everyone should read it and know that there is miracles that happen. Raven should feel very proud of herself, just like we all feel about her. I truly adire her. But some day she has to tell us her first name! LOL
