Red Hot Spoilers, Rumors, News & More! Updated 8/11/11!
Hey Guys,
It's that time again so pull up a chair and grab a Caramel Frappe as we sail into our weekend on a bar of soap. Mine is cool and frothy, but it's no match for the dense lather that grows thicker out there by the day. Fans are still having a difficult time seeing the forest from the trees. This past week I had heard from somebody very special who assured me that the Prospect Park Deal was not just smoke and mirrors. This was very encouraging considering the source, however Disney is not above playing us all. I'm encouraged and hopeful, but I think we need to see something more than just spin and news articles at this juncture. As I said on Silas Kain's radio show last week, I don't know of anyone that has been contacted personally yet (hopefully this will change here very soon). Everything may very well turn out to be just fine, however as each new week progresses, I am getting conflicting reports that are making my job extremely difficult. I believe in being honest and that means telling you what I am hearing each time we do this. I am hoping that we will have more solid news here very soon. News that involves the actors themselves telling us that they are in real talks with real people that you can reach out and touch. Right now, it's "Wargames" and we are staring at phantom missiles. Hopefully the next time we meet, the news will be more solid for us all. It's great to be excited and hopeful, but do so with your feet planted firmly on the ground (that way you are not blindsided if this was only a way for ABC to buy themselves more time).
In that vein, I think it's imperative that fans continue in their campaign efforts for many reasons. I am stunned that General Hospital fans are still sitting by the sidelines as if they are merely watching a movie that has nothing to do with them (don't get too comfortable kids for soon you will have a starring role in the sequel). You are being lulled into a false sense of security, and by the time the announcement comes, it will be too late my friends. You should be getting your groups together now while there is still time to have your voices heard. You don't buy insurance after you have had an accident! I would encourage all of you to get on board with the coupon campaign that is currently in process as it is indeed gaining momentum and getting us the press we need to keep our voices loud and strong. This campaign is giving us some real accountability in trying to get cable companies to recognize the untapped potential here. This is why I have always told you that online petitions are laughed off by the networks, and often times, thrown away without even reading the opening statements. They pay attention to snail mail. It's because that person took the time to put pen to paper and mailed something to them personally. That counts for them. The same thing goes for cable companies and networks. They want to see that this is not some hokey petition that could easily be doctored or manipulated. These coupons show that we are real and accountable as viewers. The numbers are growing, and if they keep growing and Prospect Park is on the up and up, this will only strengthen their shot at getting a cable company to take us on. Don't wait for tomorrow, do it today........

I really wanted to keep everything very positive this week, but unfortunately the pettiness and jealousy out there has ruined something that was a lot of fun for us all. Someone who is obviously incredibly obsessed with me and angry by all the attention I receive, reported me for sharing information from the audition scripts that are released by ABC. Scripts that I not only paid for legally with my own money so that I could share some of the fun tidbits with all of you, but that were reworded and summarized in order to avoid any issues. I've been doing this for the fans for nearly 10 years without incident. I guess the larger your picnic, the more ants you attract. As many of you have pointed out at Facebook, this was a very cowardly and ugly thing to do. It's sad that one person had to ruin it for us all. If anyone else attempts to do this in the future, they will also be asked to take them down. I hope this person is happy with the fact that they have actually hurt us all here. It was something fun that the fans really looked forward to. In trying to hurt me, they ended up hurting us all. I could have fought this as I was within my legal rights since I did purchase them legally, and reworded or summarized only, but life is just too short. I'm sorry gang, I will miss them too.....

I did tell you that someone very shocking was alive and well, and that a "Tale of Two Todd's" would be WSB meets Sci-Fi, and here we are in the thick of it. I warned you that just when you thought you had it all figured out, you would find yet another twist coming your way. Brace yourselves for more of those twists as they are coming to a screen near you very soon. This story is reaching out and touching more than just one ghost from the past. Irene makes Helena Cassadine seem like Bambi. Both Todd's are in for the shock of their lives. Victor Lord's blood was as tainted as his heart.
Blair is torn by what she feels, and Tomas becomes a casualty of a plan gone terribly awry. A villain from the past has his fingers in this pie, and all of Llanview's jaws are about to drop here very soon. I told you that Brody would be out months ago, and here it comes in all its glory. The aftermath won't be pretty. Lives will be forever changed......
Nora and Bo are hit hard, but a rainbow may come their way. As with any rainbow, it has an end, and this one may be pure heartache. Rex thinks he is seeing a ghost, and Kimmie is back to show you how it's done. I told you that Rex was on his way out, but not before a game of revenge turns deadly. Cutter's secret may not be what you think it is (it doesn't end there). Aubrey has an even bigger one......
Brace yourselves for the next announcement kiddies. Someone major is on their way back! Three more announcements on their way, but this one will blow fans away! I guess the red headed stepchild will be thrown a few bones before all is said and done...

General Hospital fans are about to get a shocking casting announcement, so brace yourselves my friends. Gina is on her way, and as I told you a few months back, Abby and Michael are being taken in a completely new direction. Its over guys....it's done.....
Michael finds himself involved with a spicier version of Kristina. Kate comes to town, and who she gets involved with may surprise you. Dante and Liz are in each other’s orbit, but Liz and Lucky find their way back to one another nonetheless. The Cassadines return in a very sneaky way, but the Quartermaines are prepared.....
Look for some major returns coming your way. Laura is being thrown out there for a reason. It won't happen tomorrow gang. It's being batted around as an olive branch once certain news hits over the coming months. More cuts are coming to make way for old favorites (and new versions with familiar faces). Some very sad news is coming for one beloved Port Charles resident. I'm told this one will be a tearjerker......
Liz pays a hefty price after Siobhan dies. The Cassadines are everywhere these days. Not a good thing with Anthony on the loose. Oh what webs we weave. Diane gets a new man. She has her eyes on more than just Kate's shoe collection. I told you that a major Cassadine secret would be revealed and Sky is up to her eyeballs in this one.....
Drugs....drugs.....drugs......will dominate the canvas for a while until someone makes a VERY careless mistake. This one ends one war and begins another.....

Hey Raven. I'm getting knots in my stomach. I was just watching OLTL and they've just explained that crazy Marty/Todd short lived affair. Talk about Aha moment. I'm hoping that they don't kill off Jason or turn him into another personality. Its weird watching the soaps on a timer. Waiting for the ax to come down. Part of me is grateful for your continued support and reporting of the soaps. Another part is so sad because it's all coming to an end. Hopefully the deal is true!

How can they have a Cassadine story and all these mentions of Cassadine without Nikolas. He's been the main Cassadine for the past 15 years. all these peripheral characters in a Cassadine story w/o Nikolas is useless.

They are keeping nikolas on stand by as they begin to rebuild the GH cast with more quartermaines, and cassadines and even some of the old mob connections through tracy.. just give it a minute I have a feeling nikolas will be a regular soon enuf

There are moments when I wish I were a television producer. I believe all of this talent is being wasted in soap land. Now with the end of the soap era, even more opportunities are missed.

Not that they couldn't recast, but Tyler Christopher is on The Lying Game, a new fall ABC Family show. It's a new show so if the ratings aren't there, it may get canceled and allow TC to return to GH if he and the GH PTB are so inclined. A Cassadine/Spencer story doesn't have to include Nikolas, but it would be weird at this point to not have him present for it.

I miss Vange, too. But if they are giving John to Natalie, I don't want her to come back unless she's escorting 8 year Todd off canvas as a friend. Wasn't a Crave fan (or a romantical ToVan fan) ...JoVan all the way.

Still they should bring her back for John because she would be the yin to his yang. the reason they broke up JoVan was because of the writers wanting Natalie to be with John and i also think it was because of Brian Frons not wanting an interracial super-couple on daytime TV. Frons is the reason we lost Marcy and i would love to her back in time for the finale.

You're right, Marcy would be a great bonus and the real Michael McBain - I know he had some issues, but a little grace and mercy go a long way (if not for it, Michelle Rodriguez would have absolutely no career). The list goes on and on of the great returns - hopefully a decent villain like Hesser or even Alex would be a welcome sight. There aren't any villains on anymore, just random people making dumb decisions - Irene is laughable as a villain although what she did to Tood and VJ (Victor, Jr.) is awful, but too awful, like completely far-fetched and poorly written. But, I digress. I would definitely love to see Vange back on the scene, but 5 months seems hardly enough time for them to bring her back from the dead, John to get over this yucky Natty thing, them both to move on from their previous issues with each other, fall in love all over again (let's face it, THAT would be the payoff, not just them seeing each other once and declaring undying love) and live happily ever after....Stranger things have happened, though.

She was asked back. She chose not to return. In her time at OLTL, REG was harassed and threatened constantly. She didn't want to come back to such a hostile work environment.

I'm hoping one of the budget cuts is KM leaving. I so want my all time fav couple Jason and Liz to have their chance with Cam and Jake. I've been watching GH for 40yrs and soaps also. Yes that means Jason & Liz to me is the "it" couple of all time even after 40 yrs. Really enjoyed you on Silas show.

You are unlike any before you. The way you defended Errol Lewis and SON on your facebook page tonight told me all I needed to know about you. You really are a class act. Many would have joined in and added fuel to the fire, but you stepped in and put out the fire instead. In lieu of how you have been treated by them over the years, I was really blown away by your level of integrity. You are one in a million.
You were wonderful on Silas Kains show. You are so articulate. You really have a wonderful voice. After seeing how beautiful you are, I can see why men just drop at your feet. You are one amazing woman. Any man would be crazy to let you slip away! Hey Raven, first off, I want to thank you again. I generally post on fb and probably will again though I have recently come to notice that the whole privacy thing isn't working over there. I do not know if you are aware of this but if I comment on one of your posts, then friends of mine see it in their newsfeed even though only friends of yours can see it on your wall and I reckon this happens for everyone. I am considering cutting my fb time until they fix the problems I thought were fixed. It seems that everything in the privacy settings is a lie or easily overcome.
I also wanted to direct your attention to the threat of a hacktivist group called anonymous are making against facebook. They plan to attack and take down the site 11-5-11 so if you have any personal information or friends or contacts or photos or writings on there you want to save, it might be a good idea to save some things to your computer. Building up the Q's, then they are missing one important element Emily Quartermaine (Natalia Livingston) now would be a great time for her to be there and she and Sonny could be supportive of each other. That would be must see tv for me.

Sonny and Emily comforting each other? Talk about acid reflux. Although I hated NL's Emily, I do think it was wrong to kill her (or the other Qs) off, so I wouldn't mind her coming back. Just keep her far, far away from Sonny.

I'm cautiously optomistic about the Prospect Park deal. I hope the soaps will end up on a cable channel in addition to the internet TV channel so people without computers can watch them. Thanks so much for the spoilers!
