Subject: Health issues?

Is there anyone else in the New England area who has heard of such early deaths in Friesians? I am somewhat of a newcomer to the Friesian world but have been in the horse world for almost 10 years. I thought I pretty much covered everything in my research when buying a Friesian. Yes I did see that some of the approved stallions died rather young, but look at all the stress they must be under, how much they travel. I just don't see any of these early deaths in my area. For that I consider it fortunate but on the same hand I don't want to be terrified that my precious colt will die young due to the fact that worried breeders like to blow the health issues out of proportion. I'm also a member of FHANA and they release like a quarterly magazine and they address health issues and even form committees to help resolve them. I know they're only a brach of the FPS but it still means they're addressing health issues. I guess I am somewhat of a realist and don't believe everything that I read, aka the hype, so if there's anyone else in the New England area who has heard of such early deaths or if anyone else agrees with Randy and I, please I'd love to hear from you.
