Thanks for your post Melissa. I wish I knew what the sizes were each time.... I didn't think to ask for a check the first 2 times (hind sight is 20/20 of course) because my vet feels the less you mess with them the better off you are. So we didn't check the size on the first two breedings but on try 3 she was elongated and 55mmx48mm. For the first try, on the day before insemination, she was at 40mm so my feeling now is it was too early. Try 2 she was at 32mm 3 days prior. We did use HcG each time. Not sure about my feelings on that. Of course this has been a steep learning curve I am still on.
