Subject: Keuring finished, here's a picture :)

Well, the keuring is finished, and I have to say, Nico took all my expectations and he trumped them! I have never seen a trot like that, not even in the stallions that were there. True, I'm more than a little biased, but you really had to be there. He got the yellow ribbon, made it into the books, and he was on fire!
I was really stressed out the day before, we were gonna load him up on the trailer and go up there, and he was practically asleep in the cross ties. We've stuffed him with energy feed for a month, and he stayed in his box for like three days, and he was just like . . . yeah, this is cool :) But then we got up there, he was still pretty chill about everything, we spent the night up there and the preparations started the next day. I was nervous 'cause he was just taking everything in. But then came the time to lead him some 100 yards to the arena and he passaged the whole way, he was so excited.
He stood perfectly for the judges, walked nice, and as soon as they fired up the whips and rattles, he was airborne! It was cool to listen to all the people talking about him, 'cause there were all these stallions and ster mares there, and my hobby friesian gelding, (who should have had like a 100 more pounds of muscle) got attention dumped all over him. People came over to us when we were finished and wanted to pet him and take pictures of him. He had a great time I think, and was (in my eyes) the champion.

Thanks to everyone who gave me tips, here's a picture of my guy: http://s1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd437/elliott-katt/keuring%202011%20%20Lefdal/?action=view¤t=253-Copy.jpg
