Subject: new here....a few questions

Hi everyone! I've been into arabs and saddlebreds my while life and a little over 1 1/2 years ago I bought my first friesian...my dream boy! He is now a 2 year old gelding by Minste.
I've never been to a keuring. Not sure if ill go when he is 3 or 4, as he is growing quite a bit, at 15.3 hands already :) question is, I bought I white show bridle with crystals on the browband and silver buckles. Is this ok to use at a keuring? I do show at tons of open/fun shows in halter.
Also, any tips on exercises I could do to build him up and get him to drive from the rear?
Last question, at what age do you all start to ride your friesians? He will be 3 in may.

Thanks!
