the chips are usually located on the left side of the neck near the wither, closer to the hair line of the mane....

You can borrow a reader from the FHANA - i think it is a $ 50 rental fee (and a deposit which you will get back after returning the chip reader). I bought my own reader - most expensive buy for just one use (.... so far)! Or ask your Vet or SPCA, some might have them too.

On the other token, you should have been given his reg. papers?!

How did you aquire your Friesian - privat buy, import?
