Hi,
Mine often get this during the winter when stabled and it's not just the friesians either, I think it is because during the winter they get bored and tend to drink an awful lot, and because they are on dry food, so they have excess water in thier gut and as a result they get a poopy bum!! As long as said before they have been checked out/wormed and it has not suddenly appeared then I would just take it as normal for that horse.
