Just guard your cat.
If they come near you start swinging around any sharp garden/DIY utensilsm maining and disembowling any of the plebs who get close enough.
Then, when the police come say "Well officer, I was minding my own business when suddenly these people tried to get me and my cat. In self defense I acted accordingly" then they'll be like "Oh, i see...have a good day" and all will be sorted.
Ok, it sounded plausible in my mind.

I'm sorry to hear of the negative people and situations you've come up against PaganWolf. No-one has a right to attack anyone else for their personal beliefs! I can't believe they're trying to steal your cat as well!! (hmmm I'd be tempted to stick "this property is under CCTV surveillance" notices on the doors/windows... might just make them think twice).

I agree with what Pilgrim was saying - and try not to let it colour your view of other religious groups as a whole... I've met individuals and have friends from other faiths who have been lovely and not pushed their religion down my throat or told me I was wrong.
IMO those who are happy on their chosen path and 'at one' with their own religion are the ones who don't give off negative attitudes towards others. Those who shout and scream and chastise others are the ones who are not happy deep down inside... oh I'm just rambling now lol.
