Some people use religion as an excuse to exercise hatred and intolerance. I wouldn't be surprised if many of us here have experienced such prejudice due to our path (I have on numerous occassions) or for other reasons ie) ill health, disability, race, financial situation etc etc. I find it so very sad and painful that there are some beings actually believe that hatred and intolerance is the only way to live their lives and the suffering this creates in our world..... Date Posted: 12/12/06 23:56 Hello Kajah - and welcome to the Garden :) I agree with you on the idea of shops in sacred spaces. I don't think it's appropriate either. However, I don't think this particular thread was concerned with 'the right to have shop in a Church' rather the fact that this particular Church was allowing some shops, but was prejudiced against one particular shop because of the items they were selling. If they're going to allow 'commerce' to take place in the Church then they've already 'gone against Jesus' so they shouldn't really be complaining about what type of things a shop sells there... erm... if that made sense! I'm sorry to hear about the intolerance you have encountered Kajah. As I said earler, no-one has the right to attack anyone else for their personal beliefs. And please don't apologise for your English - it's perfectly good. :) (Much better than many who speak it as their first language too hee hee). Blessings [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
