My daughter just left to go to her first day of work at her first job. I don't know who's more nervous her or me. LOL
I hope it all goes well, she's such and emotional young lady. Any way if y'all could send her some good thoughts today I would apreciate it. Thanks.
Pilgrim

Not late at all Sam. We're five hours behind the UK. She wants me to thank everyone for their support say's it really helped. She had a wonderful day and say's her boss was very impressed with her work. She goes back tomorrow so that's a good sign. I'm so proud of her.

Bet your bursting with pride arent you Pilgrim ...... and so you should be. I have this to come in about 4 years time - goodness knows how she will get up on time - I have to call her around 3-4 times in the morning to get up for school!

Thinking of your daughter Pilgrim. Im sure she will grow in confidence now she is going into the big wide world. Good luck to her.

"yay!! ugh!! there's nothing more nerve racking than a 1st day in your 1st job"

Pffft, I beg to differ. First lecturre, when you come to uni thinking you know it all and you realise that really you know nothing. LMAO.

I'm nosey, so what is her new job, Pilgrim?
My first job was at Ethel Austin, because my friends mum was a regional manager, we were only 14 so not sure how legal it was. But it was lame, serving old people thrilly nickers.URGH!
I am sure i have been scarred for life and it might be the reason I am socially maladjusted.

LOL Ash. Her job is at a new pizza parlour that opened near our home. Today is day #4. She's not bursting for joy any more but says she does like it there so I think she'll continue to do well.

Oh god, i work part time at pizza hut when I am home and I hate it.
Serving people food is awful, they think just because they are paying for a service it makes them upper class citizens.
And the ones who click their fingers at me....they get served last if at all by me.
But it can be fun..like when people ask you your name you make up a really lame name like "roland" and change it from table to table to confuse them.

Not all pizza customers can be like that Ash! The best way to deal with them though is to be pleasant and smile and not let them rile you.

Social skills are really important these days Pilgrim - dealing with people of all moods will be very good for her. Does this mean you get free pizza sometimes?

I used to get free pizza, but i thought about how unhealthy it is to eat all the time, so i refused to eat pizza alot.
