] Date Posted: 31/12/06 22:01 I was wondering if there were any mediums in and around this place that could give me some help? Recently, i've been having some really vivid and realistic dreams which when I wake up I am shocked were dreams. Now i was told at some medium convention a while ago that I astral travel in my sleep, but I never really payed attention much to it. That's not the strange thing though. The other day, friday to be precise, my friend and fellow pagan May was over at my home. We'd devoted a morning to exchanging knowledge we'd learned since I went away to uni and so proceeded to 'trade' our knew knowledge and fill in our books. However, later on in the afternoon about 4.15pm I was stood at the window and she was sat down on my bed talking and for some reason I was just staring at her and not paying much attention to what she was saying, and right in front of my eyes her face changed. Her face is quite round but it turned really gaunt, eyebrowes changed, hair looked darker and longer and the womans face who appeared on mays body seemed about 28 years of age. It was quite creepy actually because may must have looked up at me and it was this other face so I was a bit like "AH". Then i explained to May in a few words what had just occured and she asked me to say a name the first one that came into my head. The name rebecca came in but i thought "rebecca? no" and tried to let my mind find another name, yet rebecca came back again so I told her the name rebecca and she was gobsmacked. She said that when she visted a medium last with her mum, the medium told her than a young womans spirit called rebecca followed her and her mum around sometimes. I didnt believe her so I made her ring her mum and let me speak to her and she confirmed it. Since then i've been having some weird experiences. I've been seeing these mist patches around the house? I've heard my name called out when I was home alone. The lights have flickered (seperately as i entered different rooms of the house) and there is an atmosphere you could cut with a knife. Not only that but in my dream/astral travel last night, there was a really dominant and imposing woman in it questioning me on my knowledge of the Tetragram? I've read a bit about evocation and the seal of sololmon, tetrgrammaton (true name...Yaveh blah blah) but it's never been one of my interests. What do you think this means? I seem to be able to tell things before they happen as well. At work earlier I knew when a member of staff was about to enter the building despite not knowing if they were even due to work and not being able to see them approaching. I know when someone is about to ring without notice etc. It's all a bit overwhelming really. So..any advice for the nutjob here? Oh, also..sorry for this long message, it's huge I know and outrageous that I actually expect you to read through it all, lol. Date Posted: 2/01/07 16:45 Sounds to me like your clairvoyant/audient skills may be developing... perhaps your guide / spirit friend (is he still around?) could help you with this...? As for the dreams - it's perfectly normal to have vivid dreams and not realise we are dreaming. (Usually called Lucid dreaming if we realise we ARE dreaming, and are able to change/move abotu at will in the dream). As for the woman in your dreams - if you think there's something important in this dream you could try 'dreaming with intent' : as you prepare for sleep tell yourself what you want to dream about, ask to be shown more, and as you fall asleep try and focus on the woman, try reliving the dream or an aspect of the dream and see where it takes you. (I do also believe that some of our dreams are 'just dreams' - our minds sifting through things, if we've been studying a particular thing recently it may play a big part in those dreams - and are not there to be interpreted as a sign etc... only you can tell how you feel about a dream though). Astral Travel - it's great fun!! lol - although I have been pondering lately on the term 'astral travel' and the explanation many give of it. Most would define astral travel as us leaving our body and travelling to different places / times etc. BUT do we really leave our bodies? or is it that our mind is open (and in being open is part of 'all that is') and therefore has access to everything/every time/every location - so rather than leaving our bodies and travelling, we are bringing the information to US. ahem.. not that this helps you with your question Ash... just my mind wandering ;) Now... telling who's about to walk in the building; who's ringing etc... in my opinion this is part of the 'Extended Mind' (which can explain telepathic abilities, premonitions and much of what many people would call psychic abilities). Date Posted: 2/01/07 20:03 Thanks guys. Can't say I have read anything on this entire subject so i'll give the links a read over in a sec. I am going to a spiritualist medium convention on thursday night so i'll see what they have to say. I think WW is right with astral travel. Afterall it seems to me that our conscious minds try to keep the magic of nature and higher energies out because of how we are taught by todays societies, so why wouldn't -when we are asleep and more 'open'- it come seeping in when we aren't blocking it out? Date Posted: 9/01/07 22:30 I went to this spirit-medium circle and the woman medium said I was on a higher plain and a load of other stuff I'm too lazy to write down at the moment, lol. Am back at uni now, in a new room which is much nicer but has a non-living lady who likes to sit on the chair at the end of my bed. It's actually quite nice because I dont feel threatened by her and i am sure she wakes me up when i tll her i've GOT to be awake for important lectures earlywhich not even my alarm clock or body clock to wake me up for.
