Date Posted: 14/09/07 19:10 She may reveal her name to you ;) but here are some names for you to ponder : Dagny (of Norse origins - 'new day') Bjrg (of Norse origins - 'protection') Brina (Slovene name - 'protector') Sasha ('protector of mankind') Babesne (possibly Basque - 'protector') Myfanwy (Welsh - 'my woman' - although your dog may not approve lol) Lexa / Lex / Lexi etc... forms of Alexandra and Alexus - 'defender' hmmm...Sirius - love the name (although personally I tend to see this as a more masculine canine name) a strong powerful name :) [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 14/09/07 19:17 How about Kali. LOL A Rotweiler named Kali. People would think you don't know your breeds. Artemis, Boudica (is that how it's spelled?), Athena, Isis, Hecate.... Hmmm, Lots to choose from. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 14/09/07 21:59 Dead impressed peeps. give yourselfs a pat on the back. Still not sure but there is a lot i like. At the moment im into Bel, a short version for Belenus, a celti sun god, associated with healing, the name means "Bright" or "Brilliant". Festival of Beltane(Bel's fire) on May the 1st was sacred to him. Keep up the good work guys, have till Wed. Newy [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 16/09/07 1:32 lol - ok then... how about 'Beltu' [Babylonian connections here : Bel meant Lord, and also chief god of any city. Beltu meant Lady, and also chief goddess of any city... I think....alternative spellings of Beltu, with same meaning : Belit and Belut] (How about Bella?) or how about the wife of Belenus - Belisama? (Goddess connected with light, fire, the forge and crafts, lakes and rivers...and of course, your connection with Bel/Belenus! and you could still call her Bel for short.) I sometimes get called Boudicca! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
