Hi Katie,

which aspect of herbalism / herbal lore are you interested in? Have you worked through the "Be Your Own Herbal Expert" course by Susun Weed here at GG? (It's an 8 part course) You can find it in the Articles and Herblore sections.

LearningHerbs.com also offer a free eCourse : http://www.learningherbs.com/

BTW - what were you looking to get out of a course? (as opposed to a good selection of books, websites and chatting with other herbalists / like minded folk)? Just curious...

I would say : be cautious of paying a lot for a homestudy course without seriously investigating it first, especially as there are such good ones available free - I'm not saying that ones you pay for are rubbish, but be careful... there are a few rip-off ones out there which look very credible on the surface, which sadly turn out to be a waste of time and money (including 'diploma' courses - I paid out good money for a home-study diploma course several years ago, but very swiftly sent it back for a refund, it was absolute RUBBISH, and horribly basic, especially for diploma level). If you'd like a second opinion / advice on any course before signing up feel free to drop me a line :)
