As her ashes were scattered in an area of natural scientific beauty, like yourself, you cannot leave any thing that would look out of place. I think, your idea of a few scattered seeds is a good idea. Its something you can identify with but doesn't look to anyone else like its been placed. As for a blessing? why not just spend some time reflecting on and giving thanks for all they taught you and the part in your life they played?
