If we can live as self sufficiently as possible, thats gotta be better that nothing hasnt it? As mentioned in one of my previous postings, the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales have exactly what we are talking about. They build dwellings out of hay, use wool for insulation, recycled tyres for roofing tiles, composting loo's and they harness the energy from the sun and wind to provide electricity (they even make too much and sell it back to the National Grid!). Its an amazing and inspiring place and if you havent been yet, I recommend you fit it in. This is how I would see our village, and if nots possible, then whats the harm in dreaming?
