It's so interesting to hear this song sung at different points in his life--the young voice on Captured Angel to the mature voice here. It gives the song a whole different feel and meaning, don't you think? To hear a boy say, "But if you ever should need a man, well the offer still stands," not knowing what life has to hold and what that offer may mean; to hearing a man say the same thing, knowing exactly what obligations that offer entails. I know, I know, they're just lyrics, but still...
