So I thought I would put in this to hopefully jumpstart some chat!! I have been- and still am in a (Dan--can't get enough) phase for a while now--not complaining--only puurely enjoying!! I now have every album on CD and listen to them all with such awe for his talents as a singer/songwriter/musician-he can truly do no wrong!!! Anyway, if anyone wants to chat--feel free to email me. That's great that you have all the albums on CD now. Did you have all the vinyls? I have been in "that phase" for nearly 30 years now--the only music I have continuously played since I first was introduced to Dan's artistry.

Author: Diney Boo [ Edit | View ] Date Posted: 06/ 1/06 4:25pm Not only do I have all my vinyl, plus numerous duplicates, I have the cassette tapes, one eight-track (giggle) all CD's and as of recently, DF's entire catalog put on an iPod I specially purchased just for his music. How is that for a bit obsessive-compulsive about the tunes I so love, and have since the dawn of time? Ha! Ha! I even began with an ebay purchase of a CD which had the "early" DF tunes...from the 45 that the Coachmen put out, thru the Red Herring LP years... The inscription on my iPod reads... "May your heart rejoice in song~Dan Fogelberg" and how it (my heart) does (soar) when I listen to any song, plus a few covers performed by Mr. Dan. :-)

One question from you longtime fans....What was the last one on vinyl? I have Exiles, thats the one I thought was the last one on vinyl. Do I need to go find the other ones?

I only have the albums up through High Country Snows on vinyl--I'm sorry-I dont know when they stopped making vinyl...unfortunately I dont have a record player anymore, but will never part with my LP's because How could I part with something of Dan!!!Have been thinking of getting a new stereo system with a record player too--have seen a few so there must be a demand! Although, my LPs are probably warped by now!! I am completely envious of your early DF years collection!!!!!!!!! :) How were the Coachmen??!! How was Dan's early stuff from the Red Herring??!!!! I just purchased Dan's Santa Monica concert on CD from ebay (at the moment I dont remember the year) But he is with Fool's Gool's. A lot of the "in between song"banter is cut out, but left some in , and Dan says some pretty funny stuff--I love listening to the in between conversation with the audience almost as much on concert tapings--though they cut so much off (as they did on GFTW video and CD :( I have been thinking of getting an Ipod too, designated for Dan's music coz I really dont like carrying all my precious CD's around wherever I go--Hmmmm--I may just do that too!!!
