Subject: Hello! Author: Lin [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 05/ 3/06 1:31pm Hi, I am a huge Dan Fogelberg fan like the rest of you who post here! I've been a fan for decades now! I have always listened to Dan's music regularly and though I have had a computer for several years now--never thought about there being websites for Dan fans--never even thought of looking!!Duh!!! Then when a "light bulb" flashed in my brain, I decided to try about a year ago--I found some sites--This one is the most recent one! I guess after reading about Dan's illness--its put this huge desire in me to reach out to others who may feel the same way about him and his Godgiven amazing gift of song. There is not a day that goes by that I dont wonder how he is, I say daily prayers for his health and happiness, and I am not all that religious, but feel compelled to do so!! His music is the only music I listen to anymore-I never tire of it!! Anyway--just wanted to reach out and communicate with other Dan fans! I'm sort of a late-comer to the Danboards also, since it just occurred to ME to go looking about a year and a half ago. I won't say his music is the ONLY music I listen to, but I certainly listen daily--and never get tired of it. It's seem that I still hear something new in a piece on a regular basis, or hear a song in a different way--many "ah-ha" moments. My kids recently asked me why I like Dan's music so much, why don't Iike the popular music produced today. I told them that when the hip hop artists and rappers start writing beautiful, complicated, multi-layered music and then putting lyrics to it like "Long before we come of age we yearn to leave the garden, and wrestle with the myth the hand of fate has faintly drawn," then I will start listening.

Every time I go on the site I am amazed at all the info--There's so much to see!! Its so great to see sooo many people out there touched by Dan's music!!
