I will not get into an arguing match on the national site over the state race fee. Any one who wants to know why any decision is made concerning WCS is welcome to come to any meeting on the first Monday of each month. That is where the decisions are made. Fees are not set by the ladies at the sign in windows so please do not issue your complaints to them. AS I told Dave Robinson in an email to him if he or anyone else has any questions concerning the track they can feel free to come to any meeting we have. If you wish to make a comment on this site please use your REAL name. If you feel passionate about something then you should not be ashamed of who you are.
The fees will remain as posted.
$50 drivers (which includes the pitpass)
$20 pitpass
$8 grandstands

There is a FALSE rumor going around that WCS is going to close after the state race on June 10. This is not true. WCS has no intention and has never had any intention of closing. It only takes one person to start a rumor and then it spreads like wildfire. Please don't start a rumor when you don't know the facts. WCS has a great group of officers and members who work diligently every week to provide a place to come and race. Only time will prove that we are here to stay even if some wish we weren't.

Please remember that WCS has a NO alcohol policy which will be inforced each Friday night and at the state race.
Please respect our no drinking policy.

WCS will have a weekly race June 9. This is not a practice it will be for points.
Sat. June 10 will be the Illinois State Race. Drivers may sign-in at 10:00 a.m.
Drivers fee will be $50
Pitpass fee will be $20
Grandstand will be $8
We look forward to a big crowd and alot of fun racing.

One of "our own" did an awesome job racing at the Indiana State Race over the weekend. Spencer Montgomery WON the Feature as well as the trophy dash on Sunday. He also got 2nd in the heat and 4th in the transfer. Wow Spencer wish we could have been there to see you run. Keep up the good work. Take mom and dad out to eat with some of your winnings.

The Illinois State race will be at Wayne County Speedway on June 10.

Glad to hear that Zach Homles is coming to the A class. He had a great run Sat. night winning the transfer at SIR.

Thank you to everyone who helped Lucas Sat. night at SIR. Also to the EMTs who got his oxygen on him so quickly. Thank you to all who called later to ask about him. To James Sanders and his family and Eddie Vickery you are the best. Thanks David Sinks for all of your help to and Donny Marks. I would like to say congratulations to our graduates Lucas Owen and Dustin Montgomery from high school and to Natasha McGill from 8th grade. We are proud of you.

The outlaw race was terrific and we had a good crowd. Postive remarks were made about what a good show we had. Thank you to all the drivers and fans who came out in support of us. Congratulations to all the winnners and we did have our 25 car count for the $1000 prize. Thank you to Marcy Danielle Amy Jodi and Marilyn for helping Toni and I score and Christina on the pitboard. Also thank you to Troy Williams, Jimmy and Mike Holmes for coming down to help out and to our own members who chipped in and helped where needed.
We send out our sympathy to Greg Irwin and family. His mother passed away Friday night. Greg is our announcer along with his son Levi and wife Cindy. They do a wonderful job and we send them our prayers. Visitation for Gregs mom will be Monday evening May 1 at 6:00 at the Methodist church for those who wish to attend.

Our meeting will be May 1 at 7:00.

I need to clarify the fees for the race Friday April 28.

Drivers fee will be $50 which DOES include the pitpass.

Non drivers who wish to go to the pits will be a $20 fee.

Grandstands will be $8.

These fees are for the spring fling race only!

American Racer WILL have a truck at the track all day Friday to sell tires.

Fuel will be available for sell also.

For classic/lighting (dwarf) cars someone will be there to change tires for you.

Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting last night.
Plans for the spring fling are now finalized and we are going to have a great race with many cars.
We have drivers from Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Indiania, Kentucky,New Jersey and other states coming in for this race.
Not only will there be sprint races but there will be dwarf cars also with a $800 purse to win.

Also, I would like to ask everyone to keep Jeff and Cathy Montgomery in their prayers. They had extensive property damage due to the storms on Sunday evening. They were not hurt but have lots of clean up ahead of them.

Just want to say we are glad to hear the PA guys are coming out to race with us on April 28. It looks like we are going to have a large car count. We are also running dwarf cars that night and have a good number coming.

Levi Jones our guest speaker is bringing several family members and friends with him. We are looking forward to hearing him speak about his racing experiences. The banquet date has been changed to Feb. 11 at 5:00 p.m. at the Wayne City Community Building. We will have guest speaker LEVI JONES. Levi ran at WCS in the early 90's and has just signed on with Tony Stewart racing Team in the USAC series. More information will be forthcoming. Reservations will be sent out the middle of Jan. Please return the reservation as soon as possible. The only way we have of knowing how many to expect and how much food to prepare is by the return of the reservation. Non-members who would like to attend and hear Levi speak feel free to contact myself or David Parker club secretary. Thanks to Don Cruse and Richard Marshall for following up with Levi. Our club secretary has sent out notices concerning WCS next meeting. It will be for nominations of officers. This will be Nov. 7. Dec. 5 will be the election of officers. This is your chance to have a say in what goes on at WCS. I urge you to attend these meetings. Another track has left the NMMA and everyone is saying WCS have to stay open it is a great track etc. Last meeting we only had 6 people there and they were all officers. It is these same 6 people that worked and worked and worked all year so there would be a place to race. So drivers and members we need to know how you feel about WCS. Also the banquet will be Jan. 21 at the Community Building in Wayne City. It will be at 5:00 p.m. Notices will be sent out about it later. For those asking why it is the latter part of Jan. it is because of the holiday obiligations in Dec. and the Chili Bowl the first of Jan. which some are going to attend and we had to reserve the community building. Thanks Steve for getting the building and David for taking care of the notices.

WOW! The season is now over and now we will look forward to some time to eat out with our friends and REST!! Guy and I have had the honor of working with some wonderful people this year. To Steve Weber, David and Toni Sinks, Larry and Vonna Cluck, Vic Cluck, Victoria Cluck, Josh Turner,and Casie, Christiana Uselton, Bill and Linda Lampley, Danielle Sinks, Tasha McGill, David Simmons,David Parker and George Cullum, Levi, Greg and Cindy Irwin,thank you sooooooooo much for helping us and making this year a success. Also thanks to Randy and Val Foutch, Richard Marshall, and Ernie Holloway for help throughout the year. We are a club and without its members working as a team we could not have had a successful year. I will let all of our members and friends know when the banquet will be so plan on attending. We were glad to have Morgan Hoover and his family with us last night. They had a long haul to join us and Morgan won the feature in the first race of the A class.Way to go Morgan!! Thank you to all the drivers and volunteers who came to the race Friday night. We had a good car count and got both shows in with no rain. Congratulations to all who won!! Thanks to Steve for helping before the race and after the race even though he had to work in between. Thanks to Dave Simmons, Larry Cluck, and Jason Miles for helping. Sorry about the Bean Day trophies not showing up. I have contacted David Parker and hopefully we will get them. To our junior drivers that were there, Drew, Spencer, Jason, Taylor, Dalton and Garret you guys have come a long way this year and last night you did great getting lined up. We are soooooooo proud of you. Congrats to my own son Lucas for winning the trophy dashes! Next week will also be a double and the last races of the season. Have a good week. Thanks to all who came out to race Friday night. The track was fast and 3 track records were broken. Dylan Jones in the junior class set a new record of 12.477, Clint Collins in the A class had a 10.561 setting a new track record and Derrick Sinks in the multi class had a 10.090 for a new track record. Way to go guys, you were flying. Also congratulations to Spencer Montgomery on his feature win in the junior class and trophy dash win. Told you you would get a trophy Spencer! I would like to thank Marilyn Bouhl for coming to help score and of course Danielle Sinks who is always there to help.Couldn't do it without you Danielle. Tasha you did a great job on the pitboard! My computer is sick again but being fixed this week. The memorial race was a big success thanks to all who came out. The double will be Friday Aug. 26. Payout for first show, points only for second show. $25 to run in both races. $10 pitpasses. We want to send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to |Joe Smiley. Joe is still in the hospital and will be until the end of the weekend or so. Get better soon Joe. We also want to thank Joe for the beautiful trophies for the Memorial Race. He came to deliver trophies to WCS and then go on to Coles County on Sat. to deliver their trophies. Sorry your trip ended the way it did Joe. Wayne County Speedway WILL have racing Friday June 17. Rumor is that we were closing for T.K.s Memorial. We did close for T.K.s State race but we are not closing for their memorial as we need to get more racing in on our track before the Easterns. Also NO rainout pitpasses or drivers fee will apply for the Eastern Race or for the Memorial race in July but can be used any other time during the season.

FOR SALE : Honda F4i Fuel Injected Motor -- Glen, 21:37:03 06/11/05 Sat [1]
This motor is in Excellent shape with very low Miles on it and Runs Excellent!

I had purchased this "01 Fuel Injected Honda F4i Motor" a couple weeks ago for a Fast, Reliable Spare for Back Up at the Track and will not need it now because I just bought a new 2005 R6 motor and the mounting brackets or the wiring harness will not will not match up and it will be too much hassle "and" take too long to change brackets and wiring; especially during a Race Night.

This is an Excellent Fast Running Motor Complete with the "Air Box", "Fuel Injectors"and even the Throttle. It came out of an insurance bike and the bike had 2,160 miles on it when this motor was taken off the Motorcycle.

This"Motor is Strong,It was Dynode at NW Honda in Houston at 99.9 HP" "on pump gas". It has a chain Cam tensioner installed, K/N air filter, Top Quality "NRC Racing Case Cover". The case cover does have a scrape on it.

sprocket, three front bead lock rims, has splined rear axle, 3 each 5 gallon gas jugs, 10 gallons of Sunoco Purple racing fuel, new Moroso fuel pressure gauge, also a 14X6 cargo trailer,has inside lights and tire rack in trailer, ramp rear door, electrical outlets in trailer and lights mounted to shine out side trailer as well. Two new tires on trailer and like new spare tire. $7,500.00 for

The racer up north has evidently not been one of those who have worked the past seven Saturdays for 8 hours or five evenings after work or three other full days trying to get WCS in good shape for a safe and good racing season. Mr. Upnorth we will be working Tuesday evening finishing our scales if you should happen to be available. Sat. we roofed, painted, put up more rail guard and that was with only 2 adults and our 2 teenage kids. Everyone wants a place to come to on Friday nights and we invite even you MR.North but October through May no one seems available to come and support the track or to do any work that needs to be done. That is why so many do not know what is really going on behind the scenes. Also,in January of every year new officers are elected and a worker sign up sheet is available for ANYONE who is willing to step up to the plate and put up people like Mr. Upnorth or is it Mrs. Upnorth? Larry Cluck had his surgery Wed. and is home and doing well. Take it easy Larry, we are thinking of you. Bill Lampley has been sick for a week so we wish him a speedy recovery also. Some of the guys are working Sat. at the track and would appreciate any help. Good luck to those going to DuQuion this weekend. Be safe.

Not sure who to address this to, maybe David and Toni Sinks. My car/driver was at the Nationals with our #23 Brodrix Chassis Yamaha powered car. Rich came home and told me that someone took a picture of all of the Brodrix Chassis cars that were at the Nationals. My car was one of them. Is there any way I can get a copy of that picture?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you everyone for showing up to help today. We are all tired and dirty (some dirter than others) but we had alot of fun alot of laughs and got alot of things accomplished. The pitboard is fixed, new outside light up, new lights in tower stairwell,almost all the inside of the tower painted,new locks,and George and Jimmy Holmes worked the new dirt with Jimmys bulldozer.Thanks Jimmy for coming up to do this and thanks George. Its good to see George is doing so great after his open heart surgery. He even drove the bulldozer and had lemon pie!!!! We plan on meeting next Sat. at 9:00 so will be glad to have anyone who is willing to help. Larry we will make sure to get you home earlier next week. Shannon

The dirt is on the track. More will be hauled tomorrow (tues). Saturday is work day so meet at 9:00. Bring tools(hammers, nails drills etc) We will be painting inside the tower also so if you have any brushes and are willing to help we would appreciate it.

Wayne Co. Speedway will have a work day March 19 and 26. Anyone willing to help please show up. Thank you to all who attended the meeting last night. We have a new board member Bill Lampley who will replace Steven Weber. Steve is now the treasurer and David Parker is the secretary. Thanks guys. Plans are underway for the new dirt. We have volunteers who are planning to spread the dirt and get the track in shape. George Cullum will be in charge of track prep. We are happy to see him up and doing well.
