Having played against Wimborne, i can say that teams this season go into games against them with more hope/expectation of getting something as they can be outdone in the physical side of the game. Nobody doubts they have some great technical players now, but so did previous wimborne sides, but what the current crop lack which the wimborne side of last season had in abundance is physical presence.

I find it very hard to believe that Crister Warren let some of the players go that gave wimborne their physical cutting edge at the end of last season, players like Stu Cannie, Gareth Barnes and James Baker, who we all feared not only for how they could play but also the aggressive edge they brought to their team making them intimidating on the pitch.

I feel sorry for the Wimborne fans, who in my opinion are the best in the wessex league, as they now have a team that lacks the physical presence to compete for the league.
