The difficulty is that this league is the grey area between ambitious clubs looking for promotion with a large budget and purely amateur clubs looking to consolidate and move forwards but without a penny to their name.

It is every clubs right to pay players whatever they would like (madness as I think it is at this level) but similarly it is every clubs right not to play players if they feel that is the best route for them - for some this is the case and DD was very wrong in the Pink when he suggested every club pays something, even expenses. Ringwood and Lymington certainly don't, Christchurch don't and I am sure that they are a club that many would aspire to be like.

The problem comes when clubs don't respect the league they are in - either lower sides moaning that they can't compete because they don't pay money - tough that's the league you're in! Similarly top sides moaning that there are occasions when the sides that don't pay money get a hammering as they have to rely on younger players when injuries hit hard - again, tough that's the league you are in!

Every league has its spectrum - look at the Premier league and the difference between Chelsea and Derby. Just accept that football is actually about these differences and celebrate the fact that sometimes the most enjoyment comes when a minnow beats one of the top sides. There's nothing worng with what we have!
