I can only remember 2 or 3 refs this season that have been up to standard and able to handle the games. This out of 20 matches is not a good ratio.
This was highlighted in our game against Fareham, having done ok for 70 mins the ref was not strong enough to over rule a poor linesmans decission for off side ( scored direct from free kick ). And after that sent two players off and lost complete control of what had been a fair and good game.
I do accept that decission and performances of refs are the same as players and they all make mistakes but the general standard is not good enough.
