>>Hi Deb, folks,
Deb - nice to see you back. Thanks for your comments - i was having a really bad day when i posted, as you may have noticed! I'm getting a bit more on an even keel the past 24 hrs or so. The health situation in the UK has it's good points and bad points. There's no insurance - the idea is that health care is free for everyone. In reality, the treatment you are offered depends on where in the country you live, and how overspent the department is. You can pretty much guarantee that mental health never has enough money. Also, because it's nationalised, there isn't enough investment so, particularly with eating disorders, you can have a whole region with only one department. Anyway, that's enough about the NHS. Medication-wise, i've been on just about every antidepressant there is, but there are some anticonvulsants that have been used in bulimia. Unfortunately you can't get them in the uk. I'm much better than i was 12 months ago, but i don't think i'll break the back of the depression until i tackle the bulimia. Anyway, like i said, thanks, and i hope you're all managing.
Go well
