Yes it is true that eating high fiber foods can help with losing weight, high fiber foods are:
1) hard to digest and thus cost a lot of energy (you burn calories
2) increase your metabolism to begin with
3) gives your digestive system a boost so it can digest other foods in a better way which can help increasing metabolism as well
4) high fiber foods give you a full feeling and thus you will eat less, fibers tend you expand in your stomage and thus your hunger feeling decreases.

For the multi-vitamine: potassium might be in it but it depends on the brand, so check the box.

Most people get a full feeling when they dont eat for a long time or just eat a little, that is very normal.

Dont apologize for being full of questions, so was I (thats is why I became a nutricianist, to get all my questions answered)

You say that having this under control helps you deal with other things in life, In my opinion that is exactly what an ed is all about, control. I think a lot of people (including me) on this board can relate to this.
