The Town of Shawangunk Republican Committee is hosting a ‘Happy Days Will Be Here Again 50s-60s Sock Hop Mixer’ on Wednesday June 9th from 7:00-9:00pm. It will be held at Popp’s Park in the hamlet of Wallkill. Comfort foods, wine & soda will be served. Cost for tickets is a $20.00 donation per person and there will be a $100.00 door prize handed out. Looking for something to do this weekend at the last minute? Bark in the Park will be a fun filled day for the entire family including the four-legged members. The annual meeting of the New York State Rifle & Piston Association will take place on Saturday June 12 at the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club, Bruyn Turnpike, Wallkill NY. NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre is the expected guest speaker. There will be all sorts of activities going on all day topped off with a pretty darn good chicken bake.
