*He flicks his tail curtly, turning his flank to the mare to demonstrate his relative passive status, acknowledging through the angles of his cleanly-built form that this female is, and will be, his superior. He smirks within himself, his submission will only serve to egg on the too-coy female. He ignores her mane now, the build of her body is more important. He searches for a blemish, some conformational defect that would inhibit her traveling the long distances of yesteryear. Ingrained in his equine skull is the image of female perfection. No creature could live up to those standards, although this mare is decently close. She's not quite the type he'd fall over himself for, but she'll more than do just fine. His suspicious gaze crosses her body again, and turns to a look of that smug, almost annoyed look of casual surprise as she speaks. He huffs sharply, almost a laugh, and closes the gap between them to pressure her slightly, only close enough to barely brush her boundaries of comfort.*
