Andy ..thanks for advice/ well wishes...
over the last month ive had my engine rebuilt...everything that was not perfect i replaced.. the engine builder i hired usually only builds race engines... He had done an amazing job.

he wanted to put the engine on a dyno before I took it back... As he was going on holidays, I decided to take the engine back to run it in myself. In order for everything to be perfect i worked all the hours i could to pay for everything...

Tired but happy to be driving again I went on my first long run. A 150 mile run to Galway i put Diesel in on the way.. I didnt notice as the tank was 70/30 petrol/Diesel, I also at the same time filled up my jerry can.

When she started to cough i thought she was playing up as the carbs were not tuned properly yet. filled her up with more diesel (still none the wiser)...

Paul(engine man) has now stripped her down the bearings are being replaced ... I feel an idiot... Had a few pints tonight to take the edge off..

Lesson learned... sleep is needed..
the engine will be off the dyno and back in the 7 Sunday... that gives me 5 days to iron out any bugs/ tune carbs etc before we leave for London...

Looking forward to poke my head around your Dax rush ..

See you next Saturday (fingers crossed)

Kev
