Drive slow through built up areas, or these events get stopped. This obvious rule must take priority over the event timings. We are all effected by this, so timings and positions should balance out across all cars, so that no one car suffers as a result. I've seen many fellow entrants braking this rule, putting themselves, locals and the event at risk. There are plenty of open roads, and hence room to catch up. The same 'timing' issue occurs for fuel/toilet stops, you've just got to drive acordingly and not use the slow village speed limit to catch up lost time. Anyone can do this, it's not a skill, just dangerous. Getting a good result by this speeding offence isn't very cool and gains no respect. Offenders, hold your heads in shame!

Peter/Carol, it's been mentioned before, but if you use speed guns, you can apply some huge village speeding penalties to those who offend and who put the whole event in jeopardy. If all entrants were aware of the seriousness of this infringement, I think the event would be both fairer and safer. You would probably get more return visitors too.

Here endeth my two penneth worth!

Can't wait til September. Cheers all, Spike.
